How long have you been meaning to call that friend for?

Tea Routine: The Teacup Conversation Ritual
Put the kettle on.
Pick up the phone.
Call someone who matters.
We text. We like posts. We send voice notes and emojis.
But real conversations? They quietly slip away.
One of the most common regrets I hear isn’t about work or goals.
It’s about friendships that faded. Not because they stopped mattering, but because life got busy.
Geography changes.
Schedules fill up.
But connection doesn’t need a diary slot or a grand occasion.
Try this.
Next time you make a cup of tea, don’t scroll.
Call someone you miss.
No agenda. No reason.
Just a good, old-fashioned chat.
Even ten minutes can fill a space you didn’t realise was empty.
If they don’t answer, leave a message.
Say you miss them. Say you’d love to talk.
They’ll feel it. And they’ll call back.
Friendship doesn’t need a big moment. It just needs a small one, made on purpose.
Who could you call today?
