Thrive in 3: The Small-Self Effect #59
When life reminds you how vast it really is...
01: The Small-Self Effect…
Sometimes, the universe reminds you you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
We spend so much of life chasing the next thing - the next achievement, the next milestone, the next “better.”
And in doing so, we often miss the magic right in front of us.
I was at a Scottish junior surfing competition in Sandend recently, watching my daughter ride the waves.
Blue skies (finally).
Music in the air.
A community gathered around a campfire.
And then… the Northern Lights arrived.
Greens and pinks danced across the sky for hours.
One of those moments where time pauses - and you realise you’re part of something infinitely bigger.
As the fire crackled and laughter rose, peace washed over me.
No plans. No striving. Just presence.
Trusting the process.
Enjoying the crazy ride.
When was the last time you felt small - but in the most beautiful way?
The kind that reminds you how big life really is?
p.s. today I’m enjoying the new Earl of Winter black tea to support me to harness joy and creativity.

A 3-Minute Awe Tea Routine
This week, find one moment to feel beautifully small.
Watch the sky shift colours.
Sip your tea with both hands and notice the steam rise.
Listen -really listen - to laughter, wind, or silence.
Let awe do its quiet work:
expanding your perspective, softening your edges, and reminding you you’re already part of something vast and kind.
