Tea Routine: Write Yourself a Letter
When was the last time you told yourself you were proud of you?
We give love so freely to others.
Encouragement. Kindness. Forgiveness.
But when it comes to ourselves, the words stick.
Writing a love letter to yourself can feel awkward at first.
You might stare at the blank page unsure where to begin.
But stick with it. There’s something quietly powerful about speaking to yourself with warmth.
Start simple.
Write five things you like about who you are.
Then add a line for each.
When have you been brave? When have you been kind? When have you kept going, even when it was hard?
If that still feels too tough, try this:
Picture someone who truly believes in you. A mentor. A friend. The teacher who saw your spark.
What would they say about you?
Now, write that.
This is not about ego.
It’s about compassion.
It’s about remembering you’re worthy of the same care you so easily give away.
Even once a month, this small act can shift something inside you.
Try it. Save your letters. Re-read them when you forget.
You are the longest relationship you will ever have. Make it a kind one.
Have you ever tried this? Or are you tempted to begin?
